Everybody Growing

The One Ton Challenge

There are more and more people that rely on local food banks in order to provide necessary nutrition to their families. Beginning in January 2013, SUPC launched the "One Ton Challenge" determined to give 2,000 lbs of food to the Stittsville Food Bank that year. We were happy to exceed the goal that year with 2031 lbs of food. Since that time, we have renewed the challenge every year and have always exceeded the goal.

Requested food items for April 29th are:

Jams and honey
Fruit jars, cups
Canned chilli and stews
Apple Juice
Tea and coffee
Condiments (mustard ketchup relish mayonnaise)
Almond and Soy milk
Ramen noodles
Toilet paper
Personal hygiene products (men and women)
