Everybody Growing

Our Church History

The first church building for Stittsville United Pentecostal Church was located on Pretty Street and was dedicated on July 1st, 1967. The Dixons moved from Stittsville in December 1974 to accept the pastorate of the United Pentecostal Church in Lansdowne, Ontario. Rev. and Mrs. Dixon moved back to Stittsville after retiring from Lansdowne in December of 2000. Both have since gone on to their heavenly reward and we honour them for giving their lives to the kingdom.

Rev. Paul Graham and his wife came to pastor SUPC in the spring of 1975 until September 1976 when Rev. David Phillips and his wife were called to pastor the Stittsville church until the summer of 1980.

Rev. & Mrs. Alonzo Dummitt and their son Jason moved to Stittsville in March of 1981, where they took on the challenge of leading SUPC. After leading for 30 years with solid direction and seeing tremendous growth, the Dummitts retired. Pastor and Sister Dummitt, Jason, his wife Cindy and their two sons, all attend SUPC and are an integral part of the church’s ongoing legacy. Pastor Dummitt was the District Superintendent of the Ontario District for 10 years, he has since retired from this role.

Rev. Dwayne McCarty, his wife Leanna and their daughters Jessica and Erica moved to Stittsville in August 2008 and Dwayne was elected pastor of SUPC effective January 1st, 2011.

We are truly blessed to have such a rich heritage of hard working and committed ministers / individuals apart of the history of the Stittsville United Pentecostal Church.
